Randstad is currently working with a Manufacturing company in Elkmont, AL. They are hiring a Plant Accountant to work on-site at their facility. This is a Full-Time Permanent position with our client. This position will be responsible for processing monthly closing, Updating & consolidate monthly statistical accounts and budgets. Maintaining standard costs, consolidate and reconciling plant inventories.
Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end closing activities.
- Prepare monthly Account Reconciliations.
- Receive invoices & assist with Accounts Payable matching with payroll to keep expenses up-to-date
- Prepare existing weekly hours report and scrap reports to help aid plant management.
- Develop new or modify existing reports.
- Serve as a backup to the payroll department.
- Investigate variances and recommend corrective action where appropriate.
- Compile and review cost information for the preparation of operating budgets.
Qualification s:
- B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Prior manufacturing accounting experience.
- Computer skills with knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office software including Excel
- 2-4 years cost Accounting experience.
