QTEC Aerospace is seeking multiple Software Developers to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidates will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government in support of a Missile Defense System (MDS) with a mission of protecting the United States and our allies. The successful candidates will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.

Job Summary

QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. Successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs.

The selected candidates will be part of a team that writes the software that controls the missile defense system that protects the US. Many of the algorithms and capabilities implemented are mathematics and physics based complex solutions that will be highly visible to the customer, Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Work in a collaborative environment to understand, implement, and test existing and new capabilities and algorithms
• Participate in code modernization and translating Ada code to C++

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline or equivalent experience with minimum 2 years of professional experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated GoLang, C++, C, ADA, and Python development
• Experience with Unit Test and System Test Development
• Fluency with JSON
• Ability to read other coding languages
• Individuals must possess good communication skills
• Candidates must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions
• Capable of working both independently and within a team environment
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
• Must be able to work on-site, in office

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience with data reduction tool development
• Experience with SQL Databases
• Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket
• Experience with Bamboo, Jenkins, Fortify, and Coverity
• Experience with containers and container development
• Knowledge of GMD

Security Clearance

Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
