Security Systems Panel Technician
We are seeking a Security Systems Panel Technician to wire and assemble electrical cabinets and control panels used in secure door and security systems, including detention and controlled-access environments. This role is ideal for candidates with prior security system wiring experience who enjoy organized, print-driven panel work rather than field installation. This position focuses on clean, accurate, and well-labeled wiring inside enclosures, following electrical prints and schematics.
Responsibilities- Wire and assemble electrical cabinets, enclosures, and control panels for security and door systems.
- Read and interpret electrical prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform point-to-point wiring of components inside panels and cabinets.
- Route, bundle, label, and terminate wiring in a clean, organized, professional manner.
- Mount components such as terminal blocks, relays, power supplies, and control devices.
- Verify wiring accuracy against prints prior to final inspection.
- Maintain workmanship standards focused on neatness, consistency, and documentation.
- Work in a production/shop environment (no field installation).
- Experience wiring security systems, access control, alarm panels, or similar systems.
- Ability to read and follow electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with panel or cabinet wiring.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in clean workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and follow written instructions.
- Assembly, cable, soldering, schematic, solder, electrical assembly, labelling, electronics, blueprint reading, electrical wiring, work instruction.

Work EnvironmentThe role is primarily seated, involving manual assembly with extensive use of hand tools. The environment is climate controlled, and the team is small and friendly, operating Monday through Friday during day shifts.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
