Procurement Manager
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in Arab, AL. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing our procurement processes, ensuring that we acquire the best products and services at the most competitive prices. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and a passion for optimizing supply chain efficiency, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality service and product delivery.
- Conduct regular audits of procurement processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
- Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
- Prepare and maintain purchasing reports and budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor information.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
- Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements to inform procurement decisions.
- Mentor procurement team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CIPP or CIPM are a plus.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
- Ability to communicate well with operators, supervisors, and all levels of management.
