Principal full stack software engineer

Job Description

As a Principal Software engineer in our team, you'll be responsible and lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and infrastructure to support health care platform, applications, and our end users.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implementation of managing application settings across different environment, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and optimized for AI-driven applications.

  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams, including AI researchers, software developers, and healthcare domain experts, to define and refine the platform's architecture.

  • Develop and maintain the backend infrastructure, focusing on data ingestion, storage, processing, and retrieval systems.

  • Implement data modeling and database design to support complex healthcare data structures and relationships.

  • Integrate search technologies and natural language processing (NLP) capabilities to enable conversational search, semantic search, and summarization features.

  • Experience building RESTful or gRPC services; API design, pagination, error handling, and observability.

  • Define and develop software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and technical excellence.

  • Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud-native AI/ML technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance our platforms.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, with a strong academic background.

  • 8+ years of relevant software development experience, with a focus on backend and data-centric applications.

  • Proficient in React, JS, CSS, HTML, UI development.

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including expertise in data structures, algorithms, RESTful services, and microservices architecture.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native development on major cloud platforms (OCI, Azure, GCP, AWS) is essential.

  • Familiarity with cloud engineering infrastructure and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).

  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated technical leadership and a passion for mentoring junior team members.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
