Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare role is available in Millbrook, AL, for an experienced operating room technician with strong skills in Nursing - ORT and Surgical Tech (non-certified). This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals with a solid background in various surgical specialties seeking a dynamic environment to apply their expertise.

Responsibilities include supporting trauma surgeries (excluding burns) and assisting in Neuro, General, Vascular (including Endovascular), ENT, Orthopedics (with total joint experience), Spine, Gynecology, Urology, Robotics (General and Neuro), Plastics, Breast, and Eye procedures. Candidates with experience in robotic systems such as Mazor or DaVinci XI are preferred. While open-heart surgery (CVOR) experience is beneficial, it is not required for general ORT responsibilities.

The role entails collaborating with OR staff, including OR Assistants, desk assistants, some floor assistants, charge nurses, and service line team leaders. Familiarity with Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing systems, and Spacelabs monitors is essential. The position does not require floating to other departments.

New hires will undergo a two-week day-shift orientation and are expected to participate in buddy call during this period. The schedule includes weekend on-call rotation (one day per week and one weekend per month) and holiday work as contractually required. Shift options vary: 6:30 am5:00 pm, 6:30 am3:00 pm, 12:30 pm11:00 pm, and 6:30 am7:00 pm. Time off must be approved by management. Scrub uniforms in green will be provided.
