Job Summary
T he Technology Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality control inspections, testing, and reporting to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. Working with minimal supervision, this role verifies completed assemblies using precision measuring tools and maintains accurate documentation for full product traceability across all product lines.
Job Description
- Conduct inspections of documentation, parts, materials, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform manufacturing and engineering tests according to established procedures and standard work.
- Accurately document and report inspection and test results; monitor result consistency over time.
- Maintain electronic and physical quality records for traceability and compliance.
- Perform end-of-line inspections including dimensional, chemical, and mechanical verification.
- Verify conformance documentation and customer requirements prior to final shipment.
- Assist in designing, setting up, and improving test methods and fixtures.
- Ensure all inspection and testing activities are conducted safely, including participation in hazard analysis and risk control.
- Calibrate measurement systems when authorized.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Maintain and update Quality Assurance/Control files and assist with document digitization.
- Utilize internal software systems and SAP for transaction processing (training provided).
- Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned by supervision.
Skills Required
- 1+ year of experience in quality inspection, quality assurance/control, or similar environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and word processing software
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in a professional setting
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems and regulatory compliance, including: ISO 9001, ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience using precision measurement tools such as:, Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, Comparators, Surface Plates, Torque Wrenches, Hardness Testers, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Vision Systems, XRF/OES Alloy Analyzers, FT-IR Material Comparator
- Familiarity with industry standards (ASTM, ANSI, ASME, MIL-SPEC).
Education
- Highschool diploma or GED
Pay Rate
- $24 per hour ( Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
Additional Requirements
- Sched ule: 1 st shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM)
- Experience interpreting ISO/IEC, ASTM, ANSI, ASME, MIL-SPEC, NQA-1, IEEE, or AS standards
- Background in aerospace, defense, or nuclear-related industries
