**What You Will Do** **:**
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs a variety of duties related to hospital payment posting
Such duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Processes and/or posts deposits, payments, denials, and adjustments.
+ Reconciles manual and electronic batches,
+ Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisors.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
+ Accept responsibility for the direction, control and planning of an one's own work.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Recognize the rights and responsibilities of patient confidentiality.
+ Convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing pain, physical or emotional distress and/or grief.
+ Relate to others in a manner which creates a sense of teamwork and cooperation.
+ Communicate effectively with people from every socioeconomic, cultural and educational background.

**What You Will Need** **:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 0-2 years of related experience and general knowledge of payor-specific or medical specialty reimbursement.
**What Would Be Nice To Have** **:**
+ Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding. Previous experience with Athena / Waystar / Phreesia / EPIC​
