Production Administrative Assistant – $17/hr | Temp-to-Hire | Monday–Friday

Location: Theodore, AL

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, 7:30am - 4pm, Monday – Friday

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire (Try & Hire)

A growing manufacturing facility in Theodore, AL is looking for a detail-oriented Production Administrative Assistant to support daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, has strong administrative skills, and enjoys being the organizational backbone of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor production activities and track assembly line output

• Provide direct administrative support to the Production Manager

• Track attendance for employees and temporary staff

• Communicate daily with staffing agencies regarding scheduling and performance

• Process production paperwork including Production Work Orders (PWO), Device History Records (DHR), bin labels, and line setups

• Enter and reconcile data in the inventory management system (Macola)

• Maintain accurate documentation for completed orders and master records

• Assist with product labeling, order accuracy, and quality checks

• Help create and revise new product documentation

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Clearly communicate instructions and manufacturing details in English

• Assist the Lead Assembler in starting production lines at 8:00 AM

• Train and onboard new production staff

• Fill in for Lead Assembler or Material Control Assistant when needed

• Assess efficiency of temporary staff in the Lead’s absence

• Step in on the production line or as a material handler as needed

• Create and distribute product labels and content cards

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Critical thinking and reasoning abilities

  • Organized, responsible, and dependable

  • Ability to comprehend and relay instructions clearly in English

• Physical Demands:

  • Able to sit for up to 8 hours

  • Lift 10 lbs regularly, 25 lbs occasionally, and 50 lbs on rare occasions
