Maintenance Tech

We are seeking skilled multicraft maintenance technicians to join our team for the PM shift. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and repair of various equipment, including performing electrical troubleshooting, working with 480v, and 3-phase motors. The role requires the ability to read blueprints and schematics and to perform both mechanical and electrical repairs independently and as part of a team. You will also conduct preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and reliability testing.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair equipment.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and work with 480v and 3-phase motors.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs independently and within a team.
• Perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and reliability testing.
• Work with both older and newer equipment, including Fanuc robots, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, chillers, boilers, air handling units, conveyors, and CNC machines.

• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance repair, and mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with multicraft maintenance, including pumps and electrical systems.
• Skills in PLC troubleshooting and automation.
• Experience with PLC programming.

• Experience with Fanuc robots.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with a range of equipment including conveyors, CNC machines, and air handling units.

Work Environment

The plant consists of multiple buildings across a campus, totaling about 8-10 buildings. The environment is not climate-controlled, making it hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It is also a dusty and dirty setting due to the processing of black powder.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
