2 ND SHIFT PRESS BREAK OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to support 2nd shift production at a facility that manufactures custom commercial refrigeration units in the McCalla, AL area. This role is responsible for forming and bending sheet metal components that are essential to building high‑quality, precision‑engineered refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate
$19.00 per hour, then increases to $20.00 per hour once moved to 2nd shift.

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 3 00 pm to 11 00 pm and Saturdays.

2 nd Shift Press Break Operator Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal parts used in custom refrigeration assembly.
• Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Set up tooling, adjust machine parameters, and ensure correct back gauge positioning.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and tape measures.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency to support tight tolerances required for refrigeration units.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and alert supervisors to mechanical issues.
• Follow all plant safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.

2 nd Shift Press Break Operator Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous press brake operating experience required.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and production drawings.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs and stand for the full duration of the shift.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments, especially HVAC, metal fabrication, or refrigeration, is a plus.
