Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Proven experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to support each student’s individual goals
- Confidence using adaptive technology and differentiated instruction
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging instruction aligned with each student’s IEP
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting plans as necessary
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate that welcomes all learners
- Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities
