As a Security Officer - Access Control in Madison, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a SCREENER in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to creating a secure environment for all individuals on site. You will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence, supporting access control processes and assisting with badge verification. Providing exceptional customer service and clear communication is at the heart of this role, as you interact with employees, visitors, and vendors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Greet and screen individuals entering the location, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and directing visitors to appropriate areas within the location.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to address security-related concerns.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or visitor logs as required by site procedures.
• Follow all location-specific procedures and guidelines, including emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
