Job Title: TIG Welder
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both TIG and MIG welding techniques, with a strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. This position involves welding parts and assemblies according to precise specifications, primarily focusing on stainless tubing and thin-wall materials.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret part drawings and blueprints to understand job specifications.
• Weld parts and assemblies accurately following the given specifications.
• Perform TIG welding on stainless tubing and thin-wall materials with precision.
• Execute MIG welding tasks as needed.
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, scales, and tape measures.
• Apply general math skills to calculate and lay out angles accurately.
• Set up and operate various hand tools, drills, grinders, and DA sanders.
• Operate a shear, brake press, and manual metal bender efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure project success.
• Adhere to deadlines and work overtime when necessary to meet project demands.

• Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication equipment and processes.

• Must have own tools and toolbox.
• Good attitude and ability to work well with others.

Work Environment

Work in a well-equipped facility that utilizes a variety of hand tools, drills, grinders, and DA sanders. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean workspace. Flexibility in working hours, including overtime when necessary, is expected to meet project deadlines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
