As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrols PT in Bessemer, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be part of a dedicated team serving a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to everyone onsite. You will be an approachable resource for employees and visitors, assisting with access control and offering clear communication in a fast-paced environment. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism throughout.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any irregularities.
• Monitor access points and report any security-related concerns or suspicious behavior in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports as required by site procedures.
• Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement when necessary to address security-related matters within the tech and media environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
