Position Role : The Physician will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients, managing chronic and acute conditions, and promoting overall wellness. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing patient-centered, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work, imaging, and screenings.
- Counsel patients on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options.
- Provide emergency care and stabilize patients as necessary.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary and oversee continuity of care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) in accordance with regulatory and organizational policies.
- Adhere to state and federal medical regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
- Stay current on advancements in medical practices, treatments, and healthcare regulations.
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education (CME).
- Provide mentorship and guidance to medical staff and trainees.
- Contribute to community health initiatives and patient education programs.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or board eligibility preferred
- Valid and unrestricted state medical license.
- DEA certification for prescribing medications.
- BLS/ACLS certification
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and decision-making skills.
