We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety and Environmental Manager to lead and implement safety protocols across our operations. This role will be instrumental in cultivating a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and minimizing risk to personnel, property, and the environment.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial or manufacturing safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a small team while working collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide safety programs and policies
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions
Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state/local safety regulations
Deliver safety training and toolbox talks for employees at all levels
Maintain safety documentation and reporting systems
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and HR to improve workplace safety
Supervise and guide a small team (approximately 4 people)
Serve as primary contact for regulatory agency inspections and safety audits
Promote a proactive, safety-first culture across all work areas
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in a safety leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards
Strong communication and leadership skills
Proven ability to train teams and foster accountability
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field (preferred)
Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, OSHA 30/510/511) are a plus
Schedule
Full-time role with a 5 x 8 shift
