Legal Assistant / Paralegal

General Litigation, Personal Injury and Real Estate Litigation
Massey, Stotser & Nichols, PC – Birmingham / Trussville Area

Massey, Stotser & Nichols, PC is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support our general litigation, personal injury and real estate litigation in all aspects of litigation and case management.

The position involves managing case files, handling discovery, drafting pleadings, and preparing legal correspondence.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a varied litigation caseload (pre-suit through post-judgment)
• Prepare and file pleadings
• Communicate with clients, courts, judges, and third parties
• Assist with litigation matters, including:
  • Drafting pleadings, complaints, discovery, and correspondence
  • Calendaring deadlines, hearings, and court dates
  • Maintaining organized digital and physical case files
• Coordinate closely with attorneys to ensure cases progress efficiently

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of paralegal experience (Litigation preferred)
• Knowledge of Alabama and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and deadline-management skills
• Experience with Clio case management system is a plus
• Must have a valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance and Notary
• Must pass a background check
