Applicants must be within driving distance to our Huntsville, AL or Alpharetta, GA office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office three days per week.
A day in the life.
As an Business Insurance Operations Specialist , you will:
- Assist the Regional Technical Trainer with operational initiatives related to Business Insurance, including process improvements, training programs, and project implementations to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assists in maintaining and updating the MMA Playbook and other relevant documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and accessibility of operational procedures, workflows, and best practices.
- Assists in the creation, review, and ongoing maintenance of agency procedures and standards, aligning with MMA Best Practices to promote consistency, compliance, and operational excellence across the department.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Business Insurance outsource teams, including vendors such as Patra. Responsibilities include managing communication channels, monitoring team performance, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring service levels are met.
- Oversee outsourced services by managing onboarding and deprovisioning of contract colleagues, monitoring pilot phases of expanded services, and communicating best practices and maximization strategies to field teams. Track service usage, associated costs, and performance metrics by office to inform decision-making.
- Work closely with Business Insurance and Operations leaders to evaluate data, identify opportunities for process enhancements, and support strategic initiatives that improve operational efficiency and service quality.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
- 5 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Must have excellent analytical skills, as well as superior word processing, spreadsheet and database skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills are required
- Strong organizational skills
- Must have planning, organizational, problem-solving, time management and decision-making abilities.
- Must be self-directed, accurate and detail oriented
- Insurance operations experience preferred
