Job Description

The Test Plan Engineer will develop, coordinate, and maintain comprehensive test documentation for the Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System Engagement System (CES). This role ensures that all testing activities are clearly defined, traceable to requirements, and aligned with program objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and reports for MADIS CES systems.
• Collaborate with system engineers, program managers, and test teams to define test objectives, scope, and success criteria.
• Ensure test documentation aligns with DoD acquisition lifecycle requirements and Marine Corps operational needs.
• Support planning and execution of developmental and operational testing events.
• Track and document test results, anomalies, and corrective actions.
• Maintain configuration control of all test documentation.
• Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and provide input on test strategy and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards including MIL-STD, DoD 5000 series, and cybersecurity test protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, Technical Writing, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in test documentation or systems engineering within a DoD or defense contractor environment.
• Strong understanding of test methodologies and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and test management tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MADIS systems or similar SHORAD platforms.
• Knowledge of RPS-42 radar, M134 Minigun, and Stinger missile systems.
• Prior military or defense contractor experience supporting Marine Corps programs.
• Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one.
