SAFETY DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATOR

LOCATION: Cherokee, AL

Job Description:

Seeking a diligent, organized, and safety-focused worker to support our Safety Department in a range of tasks including file organization, inventory verification, rental uniform tracking, data entry, and assisting with the inspection of emergency response equipment. This role requires compliance with all on-site safety and legal requirements and is well-suited for someone capable of multitasking and handling responsibilities in a dynamic, industrial setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the organization and maintenance of safety department files
• Manage rental uniform tracking process to ensure accountability and regular servicing
• Conduct inventory verification to maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring the availability of essential safety equipment
• Enter accurate data into an inventory control system to support efficient operations
• Assist with the inspection of emergency response equipment, ensuring readiness and compliance with safety standards
• Adhere to all on-site safety and legal requirements, including the wearing of heavy FR garments and readiness to wear a full-faced respirator

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional qualifications in safety management or a related field are a plus
• Prior Safety Department experience in an industrial setting preferred
• Demonstrated experience with data entry and inventory management
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Able to work in outdoor conditions, and carry and wear heavy equipment
• Physically fit and able to wear a full-face respirator as needed
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and a commitment to uphold them
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Able to complete tasks with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:

This role involves working in office/ warehouse/ outdoor conditions and requires the ability to wear heavy Flame-Resistant (FR) garments. The successful candidate must be physically fit and ready to wear a full-face respirator.

SHIFT TIME: Day Shift 8am-2pm (time may vary)

Starting PAY RATE: $21.00- $24.00/ per hour (Based On Experience)
