Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in machining with hands-on experience operating Mazak, Haas, and Okuma CNC machines. Experience with tight tolerances, precise measuring devices, tool changes, and multi-axis setups is required. This role involves working with a variety of materials, including aluminum, steel, alloys, and Inconel, while maintaining a high level of precision and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate Mazak, Haas, and Okuma CNC machines with precision and accuracy.
• Work with tight tolerances and precise measuring devices.
• Perform tool changes and multi-axis setups efficiently.
• Machining of various materials including aluminum, steel, alloys, and Inconel.
• Ensure high levels of precision and quality in all machining tasks.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist with Mazak, Haas, and Okuma CNC machines.
• Strong understanding of tight tolerance machining and precision measuring devices.
• Experience with 4-axis and 5-axis CNC operations.
• Proficiency in G-code programming with the ability to modify and troubleshoot programs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Must possess own basic tools necessary for the role (calipers, micrometers, wrenches, etc.).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
• Experience with Mazatrol conversational programming for Mazak CNC machines.
• Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and machining processes.
• Experience with CAD and CAM software for programming and designing parts.
• Understanding of optimal feed rates, speeds, and tooling strategies.
• Experience with fixture design, setup, and adjustments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
