Ready Mix Truck Driver – CDL Required

Kirkpatrick Concrete Central division serves Birmingham and surrounding areas, and we are looking for ready-mix truck drivers to join our family. With over 130 years of experience in the building materials industry, we are committed to our customers, our employees, and our communities.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the safe and timely delivery of ready-mix concrete to the customer. Job responsibilities include:

• Safety – Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.


• Customer Service – Provide excellent customer service on job sites. Communicate effectively with dispatch team and customers to ensure the best possible customer experience.


• Operations – Ensure the safe and timely delivery of concrete loads to job sites. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Maintain a clean and serviceable truck.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education – Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or B). Drivers must qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.


• Skills:




• Ability to operate heavy equipment with a strong understanding of safety protocols.


• Expect frequent walking, sitting, lifting (up to 50 pounds), pushing, pulling and climbing as part of your daily routine.


• Flexibility to work varying hours and overtime as needed.

• Single Coverage = $21.92 weekly


• Employee +1 = $42.69 weekly
