American Driver is hiring in Tuscaloosa, AL. This position is built for drivers who have their Class A CDL but haven't logged significant miles yet. No experience needed — we provide a fully paid training program and a mentor who will get you road-ready.
Tuscaloosa's position along I-20/I-59 puts you directly on one of the busiest freight corridors in the Southeast.
Training Program:
- 4–6 weeks fully paid
- One mentor, one truck, real freight from day one
- Covers ELD operation, HOS compliance, pre/post trip inspections
- Weekly pay throughout — no waiting
- After training, solo pay starts at $0.56 CPM
Typical Week:
- No-touch dry van freight
- 60% drop and hook
- 2,200–2,500 miles per week
- Eastern routes with steady, year-round freight
- Mix of day and night dispatch
Pay:
- $0.56–$0.65 CPM
- Weekly earnings typically $1,200–$1,500
- Extra pay for stops, layovers, and breakdowns
- Six-month pay increase
- $300 orientation pay
- Weekly direct deposit
Home Time:
- Home every two weeks on a consistent, planned schedule
Equipment:
- Freightliner or Kenworth (2022–2025)
- APUs on all units

Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL, age 21+
- Completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school — required to enter our paid training program
