Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm or until work is completed

What Transportation contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Transportation is responsible for the movement of materials and products between suppliers, manufacturing, warehousing and the customer. Management of transportation assets and systems to gain greater service, cost efficiency and optimization of processes. Job Summary The Senior Coordinator Transportation works in outbound warehouse operations and is responsible for the management of all orders via the order warehouse management system, email and telephone. This job prioritizes orders based on customer demands and collaborates with the dispatch team to determine optimal transport methods (private fleet, courier, etc.). The Senior Coordinator Transportation clusters orders and strategically issues them to the warehouse for picking/ packing in an effort to effectively manage capacity. This role collaborates cross functionally with sales representatives and marketing to meet the needs of the customer and maintain customer satisfaction and quality standards. Responsibilities- Establish and maintain ValueLink (VL) routes to support customer delivery requirements and operational efficiency.
- Configure and manage ship via and route group assignments to ensure accurate order processing and transportation execution.
- Maintain Customer Customized Delivery Groups (CCDGs) and ensure alignment with customer service expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ValueLink account administration and issue resolution.
- Partner closely with Customer Experience teams to address customer requests, improve service levels, and resolve operational challenges.
- Monitor order flow and system activity to ensure accurate routing, shipping, and delivery execution.
- Research and resolve order, routing, and customer account discrepancies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, service, and quality.
- Cross-train and provide backup support for Pick Planning functions as needed.
- Provide guidance and operational support to less experienced team members.
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience, preferred
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred

Both the Pick Planner and Order Services roles are expected to maintain cross-training proficiency and provide backup coverage for one another to ensure operational continuity, customer service excellence, and uninterrupted workflow execution.
