Job Summary:
The Safety Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining a secure and organized safety room environment. This role ensures that all safety equipment, supplies, and protective gear are available, properly maintained, and distributed to staff as needed. The Safety Room Attendant also supports safety compliance by tracking inventory, assisting with inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the safety room.
- Monitor, issue, and track safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Inspect and ensure all safety gear and equipment meet quality and safety standards.
- Record issuance and return of all safety items in inventory management systems.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding supply levels and reorder needs.
- Support emergency preparedness by ensuring safety materials are stocked and accessible.
- Follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in warehouse, safety, or inventory control preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer and recordkeeping skills.
- Knowledge of PPE and safety equipment (preferred).
Work Environment:
- Primarily outdoor environment.
- May require use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, or steel-toe boots.
- Ok with getting dirty and wet at times.
