Position: Senior Tax Accountant
Location: Brookwood, AL
We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our corporate finance team. This role is responsible for corporate tax compliance, tax planning, financial reporting, and supporting strategic business initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and support ASC 740 tax accounting and financial reporting.
- Manage federal, state, local, and international tax compliance.
- Assist with tax planning, research, and tax-saving initiatives.
- Support SOX 404 tax controls and documentation.
- Prepare sales and use tax, business property tax, and other tax filings.
- Support tax due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain tax records and stay current with changing tax laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 2+ years of progressive corporate tax experience.
- CPA preferred; Master's in Taxation, MBA, LLM, or JD is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740 , corporate tax compliance, and multi- state/international taxation.
- Experience with SOX 404 internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
