The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee warehouse inventory and staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversees warehouse operations
• Uses common warehouse management systems
• Manage warehouse associates
• Follows the standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Supervise packaging, receiving and shipping activities
• Complete order picking and shipping tasks as needed
• Escalates issues to managers and recommends potential solutions
• Ensures the team follows company policies and procedures
• Make sure the team adheres to OSHA safety regulations
• Ensure loads are done accurately
• Require that all possible steps are taken to prevent the loss of product
• Report any accidents to warehouse manager immediately
• Conduct all activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Essential job functions

• Supervising, training and assisting workers
• Maintaining records
• Reading wave sheet and work order specifications
• Work independently without constant supervision
• Reporting for work regularly and on time, working overtime as needed

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years demonstrated work history in a lead or supervisory role
• Perform 4 basic math operations with all units of measure
• Ability to read wave sheet consisting of numbers and letters.
• Ability to write work instructions.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to give directions to hourly employees.
• Must be able to use a computer effectively for data entry, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Must be able to deal with conflict, coaching and counseling in a professional and effective manner.
• Positive, professional, “can-do” attitude.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as be an integral part of a team.
