MIG/TIG Welder – 1st Shift

Location: Decatur, AL

Pay Rate: $25.00/hour

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

We are hiring an experienced MIG/TIG Welder for a client near Decatur, AL. In this role, you will perform welding, fabrication, and finishing operations to produce high-quality products according to customer drawings and specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, aluminum, and galvanized materials
• Set up welding equipment and adjust parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
• Weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions
• Inspect welds for quality, bead size, and specifications
• Use grinders and sanders to clean and finish welds
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using basic measuring tools
• Assemble and position parts using jigs and fixtures
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
• Operate forklift to move materials (as needed)
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

• Minimum 2+ years of welding experience (MIG/TIG required)
• Experience with pipe and aluminum welding preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
• High School Diploma/GED or technical school certification
• Machine shop experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime as needed
• Steel-toed boots required
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written & verbal)
