HR Specialist (CONFIDENTIAL) - Huntsville, AL
Job Title: Human Resource Specialist Pay Rate: $36.00 - $46.00 per hour (DOE) Location: Huntsville, AL Area Code: 256 and 938 Shift: 1st Shift Employment Type: Contract (Contract to Direct) Job Summary The Human Resource Specialist will serve as a key employee-facing partner within a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. Reporting to the Human Resource General Manager, this role supports day-to-day HR operations, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance initiatives while helping cultivate and strengthen company culture. The ideal candidate is a people-oriented professional with strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization. This position requires a proactive, solutions-driven HR professional with experience supporting hourly and operational teams. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and front-line leadership.
- Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
- Support full-cycle recruiting efforts for warehouse and manufacturing roles.
- Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Partner with leadership to reinforce company culture, engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
- Support performance management processes, including evaluations and corrective action documentation.
- Assist with benefits administration, leave management (FMLA, ADA), and policy interpretation.
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations applicable to manufacturing environments.
- Bachelor"s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
- Experience supporting employees within a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
- Strong employee relations background with demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
- Experience conducting onboarding and new hire orientation programs.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be a people person.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent).
- Experience high-volume operational environment.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.
