We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our client's team on a contract basis in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will oversee critical financial functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in payment processes. This is a contract to permanent opportunity offering hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Review and approve invoices while ensuring proper coding and compliance with company policies.
• Oversee Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions to ensure smooth processing.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve payment discrepancies and maintain strong relationships.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial regulations during payment processing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounts payable workflows and efficiencies.
• Monitor and report key metrics related to accounts payable performance.
• Train and guide team members on accounts payable procedures and systems.
• Proven experience in accounts payable management or a related role.• Strong knowledge of invoice coding and payment processes.
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in all financial tasks.
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and standards.
