Direct reports: None. Deltas provide performance feedback on other engineers and participate in the company peer mentorship program.

Travel: 0-10%

Clearance Requirement: Current Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret

Locations : Hunstville, AL

This organization partners closely with Palantir to deliver mission impact. It is a veteran-founded, Palantir Vanguard–level services partner focused on solving real-world problems for government customers across National Security, Readiness, and Space — not building shelfware.

Help Build the Portfolio

This role offers a front-row opportunity to help stand up and shape the portfolio from the ground up. You’ll work close to mission, receive direct mentorship from Palantir experts, and follow a clear growth path as the portfolio scales.

You’ll operate in small, senior teams with real autonomy — owning outcomes end to end without the bureaucracy common in larger organizations.

About the Role

You are the technical leader for your portfolio's implementations. You own architecture, secure code delivery, team mentorship, and forward-looking research to ensure every solution is innovative, scalable, and mission-ready.

In this role, a Delta doesn’t just oversee code. You architect solutions, lead delivery, mentor builders, and stay ahead of emerging trends — combining deep technical expertise with leadership to multiply mission impact.

• Embed with customers, participate in user research, and rapidly prototype solutions
• Architect and execute innovative software solutions tailored to mission needs

• Conduct solution research and track relevant product and platform trends
• Partner closely with your Echo to translate product vision into technical execution
• Ensure code quality, security, and maintainability through reviews and best practices
• Surge on the hardest technical challenges to maintain momentum and focus on outcomes
• Demonstrate progress and lead customer-facing desk-side feedback sessions

You’ll Thrive Here If You

• Are a former Palantir Delta / FDSE, or bring equivalent deep Palantir platform expertise
• Have 10+ years of experience in software engineering, computer science, mission systems, or a related field
• Feel rooted in your community and close to the people and missions shaping life in the portfolio
• Have led implementations in government or secure environments
• Can design systems, mentor teams, and write production code in the same day
• Are mission- and outcome-obsessed — results matter more than slideware
• Take ownership instinctively: see a problem, fix it
• Believe small, senior teams outperform lone heroes
• Value direct communication, low ego, and no drama
• Align with the core value of mutual respect and professionalism
• Hold an active clearance (or are immediately eligible)
• Have strong Palantir Foundry and Apollo experience (highly desired)
• Military, Special Operations, or Law Enforcement background is a plus, not a requirement
