Project Liaison for Conveyor Systems
As a Project Liaison, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between various stakeholders, including development, engineering, production, and external suppliers. Stakeholder’s locations vary between the production site in Alabama and planning team in Germany. You will be ensuring that the project is executed smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will guide the planning and execution of project milestones, while also addressing any challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle. You will be responsible to meet project schedules and coordination efforts, utilizing your strong problem-solving skills to implement solutions that meet the car manufacturer’s high standards.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions will directly impact the success the entire automotive production operations across all shops: body shop, paint shop, and assembly operations. You will also have the chance to stay current with industry trends and technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement the new conveyor systems. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the onsite primary point of contact for all stakeholders related to conveyor technology projects.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, suppliers, and management to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
- Participate in the development of project specifications and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to conveyor technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the automotive industry or similar fields.
- Strong understanding of conveyor technology and its application in manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
- In-depth knowledge of operations at car manufacturer located in Vance Alabama is preferred.
- German language skill is preferred.
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
- Location: Vance, AL
- Schedule: Day shift, 40h/w
- Assignment Start: 13 th November 2025 with a duration of 4 years.
