Per Diem School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Prattville, AL

This per diem position is tailored for Licensed Practical Nurses who are passionate about supporting the academic, behavioral, and social development of students in a school setting. The role involves providing individualized assistance under the guidance of classroom teachers to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social support to students
• Assist with daily routines, classroom transitions, and participation activities
• Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide mobility assistance, supervision, and personal care as needed
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all students

Qualifications:

• Active Alabama LPN license
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Compliance with TB testing requirements per school district regulations
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Current clearances or readiness to obtain necessary clearances before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school environments, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Certification or experience in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT (Positive Mental Training), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is a plus
• Patient, reliable, and collaborative team member
