Senior Estimator - Federal Construction Projects

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator with a minimum of 7 years of expertise in estimating federal construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both design-build and design-bid-build processes, demonstrating proficiency in developing accurate project estimates and schedules.

Responsibilities:

· Utilize your extensive knowledge to estimate costs accurately for federal construction projects, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.

· Handle a variety of project types, including renovations and new construction (buildings), applying your expertise to diverse challenges.

· Develop project schedules at a high level, providing essential information to our professional scheduler for the creation of bid-ready documents.

· Demonstrate a capacity for thinking outside the box and creative problem-solving to overcome challenges inherent in federal construction projects.

· Emphasize negotiation skills, engaging with professionals, making accurate time and cost estimates, and resolving issues effectively.

· Take initiative in addressing tasks and challenges, demonstrating dependability in meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

· Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes effective communication and project success.

· Formulate contingency plans and effectively manage risks that might impact cost and time estimates.

· Keep track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 7 Years Experience and a proven track record in estimating federal construction projects.

· Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build Experience: A thorough understanding of both project delivery methods.

· Ability to develop project schedules at a high level for bidding purposes.

· Capacity for creative problem-solving and thinking outside the box.

· Strong negotiation skills with the ability to make accurate time and cost estimates.
