Job Summary
W e are seeking safety-focused ESP Cable Technicians to perform moderately complex cable building, testing, and repair activities. This role supports Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) operations and is ideal for candidates with mechanical or electrical aptitude who are willing to work in a safety-sensitive, hands-on environment. Training is provided, including high-voltage electrical safety, and night shift availability is strongly preferred.
Job Description
- Perform moderately complex builds and repairs of Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) cable
- Conduct high-voltage testing of ESP cable in accordance with safety and quality standards
- Perform splicing, repairs, and spooling of ESP cable
- Complete and maintain required testing and repair documentation accurately
- Troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical issues related to cable operations
- Follow established safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
- Interact professionally and courteously with coworkers and internal customers
- Work effectively under general supervision while meeting production and quality expectations
- Shift: Day Shift: 6am-6pm, Night shift: 6pm-6am, 11 days on/3 days off, every other Fri, Sat, & Sun.
- Priority for Nig ht Shift: shift differential provided
S kills Required
- 1 year of experience installing or repairing ESP cable preferred (not required)
- Candidates with general mechanical or electrical aptitude, or related cable experience, will be trained
- Basic troubleshooting skills for electrical equipment
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and hands-on work
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work under general supervision and follow strict safety processes
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
- Action-oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills
- Customer-first mindset with professional interpersonal skills

- High hand dexterity for repetitive splicing and cable manipulation
- Standing for extended periods
- Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly
- Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and sustained hand and wrist movements
- Close visual acuity for inspection, assembly, and machine operation
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments, extreme heat (100°F+), moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, chemicals, fumes, dust, and oils
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions
- High-voltage electrical safety training provided internally
- Strict safety-sensitive role subject to employer or customer drug testing
- Required PPE includes electrically rated steel-toe boots
Education
- Highschool diploma or GED
Pay Rate
- $20 per hour
Additional Details
- Basic electrical background due to the safety-critical nature of the role is preferred
- Forklift experience is preferred
- Mechanical aptitude (automotive, diesel, shop, or similar mechanical background) is preferred
- Strong safety mindset; role is safety-sensitive with strict compliance requirements is preferred
