Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to support student learning and growth in an after-school setting from 2 PM to 6 PM. Working onsite, you will assist educators by providing valuable classroom support that helps create an effective and positive learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers with instructional and behavioral assistance during after-school hours
- Aid students with assignments, activities, and small group work to reinforce learning
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all students
- Help manage student behavior and support individual needs
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement educational plans
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current paraprofessional credential preferred; renewal of credential may be possible
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable and able to work onsite during scheduled hours
Location:
- Position is onsite at an elementary school in Vestavia Hills, Alabama
Employment Details:
- Contract position beginning ASAP through May 21, 2026
- After-school hours from 2 PM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday
