Construction Project Manager
Location: Birmingham, ALOverview:
The Construction Project Manager will lead all phases of a $300 million EPC project, providing overall direction for engineering coordination, procurement activities, and construction execution. The ideal candidate will be highly competent in managing contracts, leading large multidisciplinary teams, controlling project schedule and cost, and serving as the primary interface with the owner. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to successfully drive complex EPC projects from start to finish.Primary Responsibilities:.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of design packages and alignment with project requirements.
- Direct procurement efforts, including bid packages, vendor selection, materials tracking, and delivery oversight.
- Manage development and maintenance of the integrated EPC schedule and project budget.
- Oversee construction planning, site logistics, field coordination, and execution activities.
- Lead construction and engineering reviews to ensure constructability, cost efficiency, and schedule alignment.
- Facilitate project meetings with engineering, procurement, construction teams, subcontractors, and the owner.
- Ensure accurate and timely project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of EPC or large industrial construction project management experience, with experience on $100M+ projects (preference for $300M+).
- Strong knowledge of EPC project delivery, contracts, scheduling, and cost management.
- Experience coordinating engineering deliverables, procurement activities, and construction execution.
- Proficiency with project management and construction software (P6, Procore, MS Office, Bluebeam).
