Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full school year contract position is available for a licensed Physical Therapist to provide services within a K-12 educational setting in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This role involves delivering therapeutic support to students across the full K-12 age range, helping them achieve their mobility and functional goals in the school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services to students according to individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to develop and implement effective therapy plans
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapeutic interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and school district requirements
• Participate in team meetings and provide input on student progress and needs

Qualifications:

• Active Physical Therapist license in Alabama
• Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings, is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel
• Ability to work independently and manage caseload efficiently
• Flexibility to provide services 2-3 days per week during the school year
