We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Transportation Specialist to join our team and help ensure our residents arrive safely and promptly to their appointments.

As a Transportation Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our residents' health and well-being. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the company van and assist residents with transportation needs, ensuring safe, timely travel to medical appointments and other essential outings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely Transport Residents: Drive the company van to transport residents to and from medical appointments and scheduled activities, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.

• Assist Residents: Provide physical assistance getting in and out of the vehicle, securing residents appropriately, and ensuring their safety throughout transport.

• Maintain Clean Driving Record: Follow all traffic laws and demonstrate safe driving practices.

• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic checks and notify maintenance of any issues to ensure the vehicle remains in proper working order.

• Coordinate Schedules: Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to organize transportation schedules and minimize wait times.

• Emergency Preparedness: Follow all protocols in the event of an emergency while in transit.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to physically assist residents with mobility needs

• Calm, patient, and compassionate demeanor

• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed

• Prior experience in healthcare or senior living is a plus
