Carpenter
NOW HIRING: CARPENTER (Vessel Fabrication & Repair)
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to support structural woodwork and wooden component fabrication and repair aboard vessels. This role involves working from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams to build and repair items such as cabinets, decks, protective boxes, and other wooden fixtures using standard carpentry tools and woodworking machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct and repair structural wood components on vessels
- Build cabinets, decks, and custom wooden fixtures from specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements
- Accurately read tape measures and work from provided dimensions
- Assist with outfitting tasks such as installing windows, hose racks, and fire extinguishers (as assigned)
- Perform additional duties as required in support of shipyard operations
Requirements:
- Previous carpentry experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Familiarity with standard carpentry tools and woodworking equipment
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Overtime and weekend work as needed
Pay Rate:
$18.25 – $23.00 per hour (DOE and based on interview). Final compensation will be determined after evaluation.
