I&C Designer – Power Generation

Location: Birmingham, AL 35243 - On-Site

We are seeking an Instrument Designerto join our fast-paced EPC team in the power sector, working on a variety of power systems. You will create precise instrument and DCS designs and construction packages that drive project success, ensuring quality, accuracy, and seamless coordination across disciplines.

What You'll Do

• Instrument and controls CAD design in an office setting
• DCS design - distributed control system design which may include sensors, actuators, controllers, etc. to ensure efficient operation across various processes.
• Experience in industries such as power generation, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, heavy industrial plants, etc.

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting.

• 7+ years of I&C design experience, preferably in EPC and power sectors.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required, 3D desirable), Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of virtual teams.
