Job Description

In this position, you will support daily operations within a busy metal fabrication and trailer manufacturing shop. The General Laborer will assist with preparing metal materials, supporting welding and fabrication tasks, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and are interested in learning fabrication, welding support, and metalworking skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting materials or products to designed areas
• Assist with measuring, cleaning, cutting, and preparing metal pieces for fabrication and welding
• Support welders and fabrication staff with materials and shop preparation
• Help with basic metalwork tasks such as sandblasting, grinding, and organizing materials
• Load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures
• Perform additional shop duties as assigned to support production

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Basic knowledge of metal work, sandblasting, mechanical skills, or welding is a plus
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and stand for extended periods
• Team-oriented with a willingness to learn new skills
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen

The base hourly range for this position is $12.50, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
