Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required / Active NE (or compact) RN license required at submission / Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS / 33-bed Level II Trauma ICU (average daily census 16); adult patient population / Nurse-to-patient ratio 1:2–3 in ICU / Common diagnoses include trauma, cardiac cases, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress / RNs required to titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation / Telemetry required—RNs must read, interpret, and document strips (GE monitors with tele tech oversight) / RT equipment includes nasal cannula to vents; RNs responsible beyond troubleshooting as appropriate / CNA support based on census; Healthcare Support Tech available M–F 0800–1630 / Floating required to PCU (1:4 ratio) and occasionally Med-Surg (1:5 ratio) / Schedule: 12-hour days (06:30–18:30), 36 guaranteed hours/week; every other weekend; minimum 2 holidays during contract; self-scheduling for core staff (travelers added as needed, block scheduling not guaranteed) / Orientation: 12 hours plus 1 unit-specific shift; must pass open-book exam with 90% during orientation (Wednesday testing) / EMR: EPIC / Dress code: facility guidelines; artificial nails prohibited / Radius rule: 50 miles (driver’s license required at submission); cannot be current FT/PT/PRN employee within CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity / RTO must be submitted upfront (max 7 days per 13-week contract) / Pay package negotiable
