What we’re looking for:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (applicable state requirements)
- Proven experience developing and adapting IEPs for students with disabilities
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to assess student needs and tailor instruction for a variety of learning styles
- Experience collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families
Primary responsibilities:
- Craft and implement effective lesson plans and individualized education programs
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying abilities
- Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Communicate frequently with parents, school staff, and related service providers
- Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments to suit individual learning requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
