Your role as a System Administrator III (SolarWinds Admin)

The System Administrator III (SolarWinds Admin) role at Gray Link Technologies LLC is perfect for experienced professionals with over 5 years of expertise in SolarWinds products. You will be responsible for installations, configurations, and monitoring of system performance across various SolarWinds instances, utilizing SQL, SWQL, SNMP, WMI, and SSH for effective management. Your day-to-day tasks will include administering the SolarWinds Orion Platform Suite and its components, such as NPM, NCM, and IPAM, as well as installing and patching operating systems while adhering to DISA STIG guidelines. You will also leverage your strong understanding of networking concepts to create customized dashboards, reports, and notifications, along with developing a comprehensive Disaster Recovery plan for SolarWinds.

Your meticulousness will be critical for maintaining system organization, including proper management of accountable items and cabling after installations. This position promises to challenge and enhance your technical skills in a collaborative setting.

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience with SolarWinds products is essential, alongside IAT-II:Security+ CE certification. Expertise in managing SolarWinds components such as SCP-SAM, SCP-NCM, or SCP-NPM is critical for effective system administration and optimization. Strong proficiency in SQL, SWQL, SNMP, WMI, and SSH is necessary to monitor and troubleshoot the overall health of multiple SolarWinds instances.

Additionally, a solid understanding of network concepts—including routing, switching, and network security—will enable you to respond adeptly to various technical challenges. Candidates should also demonstrate familiarity with Windows server and SQL database systems administration, along with excellent organizational skills to manage installations and document accountable item movements meticulously.
