About the Role:
The New/Used Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and enhancing customer satisfaction within our dealership Hallmark Auto Group. This position is responsible for overseeing the sales team, developing effective sales strategies, and ensuring that both new and used vehicle sales targets are met or exceeded. The Sales Manager will also be tasked with analyzing market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for business expansion. Additionally, this role involves fostering a positive team environment and providing ongoing training and support to sales staff. Ultimately, the goal is to create a seamless and enjoyable purchasing experience for customers while maximizing profitability for the dealership.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive sales management or a similar role. Nissan experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Preference for candidates with experience in specific software: V-Auto, CDK, DealerTrack, RouteOne, Drive-Centric, and secondary finance.
- Familiarity with the latest automotive technologies and trends.
- Previous experience in a high-volume dealership environment.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies for both new and used vehicles.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure optimal stock.
- Conduct regular training sessions for sales staff to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Skills:
The required skills for this position, such as strong communication and leadership abilities, are essential for effectively managing the sales team and ensuring that all members are motivated and informed. Sales management experience will be utilized daily to guide the team in achieving their targets and improving their sales techniques. Analytical skills will be crucial for interpreting sales data and market trends, allowing the Sales Manager to make informed decisions that drive business growth. Additionally, familiarity with CRM software will aid in tracking customer interactions and sales performance, enhancing overall efficiency. Preferred skills, such as negotiation and closing techniques, will be applied during customer interactions to secure sales and foster long-term relationships.
