Providence Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Computer Installer to join our client’s team in Montgomery, AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and relocation of computer systems, hardware, and peripheral devices across multiple sites. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suitable for individuals who enjoy working with technology and take pride in completing tasks with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and test computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and related peripherals
- Set up workstations and ensure all systems are connected to appropriate networks and power sources
- Perform basic software installations and updates as directed
- Relocate and rewire existing computer setups as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace before and after installation
- Report issues or installation barriers to the team lead or supervisor in a timely manner
- Provide basic instruction to end-users on equipment setup and functionality
- Ensure all installations meet company safety and performance standards
- Maintain detailed records of installations and service activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in computer installation, IT support, or related field preferred
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and peripheral devices
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $14 per hour -$ 17 per hour based on experience.
