What We Look For In a Expository Writing Tutor

• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with expository writing curricula and common challenges such as distinguishing exposition from argumentation, organizing information logically, and integrating textual evidence without over‑quoting. Adapts instruction using graphic organizers, model essay analysis, and structured drafting processes to support students from middle school through college developing clear, well‑organized informational writing skills.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
