Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU) has an exciting career opportunity for a **Deputy Programs Manager 3** supporting an Internal Research and Development (IRAD) project to join our team of qualified, diverse, and innovative individuals located in **Huntsville, AL** . The candidate selected for this position would be involved in program execution, cost, schedule, risk, staffing, team building, customer satisfaction, compliance with organizational processes and procedures, maintaining relationship with and keeping program leadership and Government customer appraised of program status. **Job Responsibilities:** + Set Vision, lead, and manage a large (~100 person) diverse team of Software, Hardware, Integration, Test, User Experience, and Systems Engineers as a Deputy Program Manager. + Responsible for overall execution and timely delivery of program milestones against scope of work Lead by example. Assist the Program Manager in setting a vision and implement a strategy of leading a set of leaders on a cross-functional team to drive collective team successes. + Interface directly with the Government Customer, Other BU Program Managers, Business Management, Contracts, Engineering, and other functional/support teams in support of program objectives, technical integrity, customer expectations, and schedule. + Operate in a team environment and collaborate across the organization as required to accomplish the team goals. + Owner of Profit and Loss responsibility for scope, schedule across WBS element items as defined in scope of work. + Responsible for overseeing risk management strategy and execution of mitigation plans + Develop and implement team structures, organizational framework, and processes to optimize productivity and foster a high-performing, cohesive, and collaborative team environment. + Assist Leadership and government customer with proposals and other scope modifications. + Collaborate closely with government customers and team leaders, to include technical team leaders, to set the vision, schedule, and plan to support future software builds and strategies **Basic Qualifications** + 10 Years with BS; 8 Years with Masters; 7 Years with PhD + 7 years' experience with functional and/or technical leadership experience + Active Secret Security Clearance. + Experience with customer and stakeholder relationship management + Proven presentation/briefing development experience + Organization and execution of tasks and projects experience + Problem solving skills of technical, organizational, and personnel issues + Supporting DoD proposal activities that includes BOE development, Integrated Master Schedule input, and writing contributions on multiple proposal activities. + Ensure engineering standards and product quality standards are met. + Demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. + Recent experience in managing Internal Research and Development (IRAD) / Non-Contract Technical Activity (NCTA) programs **Preferred Qualifications:** + Strong knowledge of the Missile Defense Integration (MDI) and its elements including knowledgeable of tactical software command and control systems. + Experience delivering products and services on Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programs in accordance with software quality and technical integrity standards. + Understanding and strategic vision for best utilization of JIRA to manage team's effort to include tracking metrics and performance for software command and control software for missile defense systems. + Track record as an effective collaborator, communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. + Experience developing capabilities to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching. + Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities. + Understanding of software technologies, software principles, and ballistic missile defense algorithms, particularly an understanding of software modernization strategies. + Experience building a high performing team and facilitating conflict resolution within the team. + Experience in Fire Control Systems Salary Range: Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Primary Level Salary Range: $178,500.00 - $267,700.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
